The day after my surprise shower I had another bridal shower. Two of my bridesmaids, Becca and Ange threw the shower at my mom's house in Queen Creek. It was a great afternoon! We had a wonderful lunch prepared by my mom and wonderful games that the girls came up with. I received so many nice gifts. Just to list a few.....a folding table and chairs, toaster, picture frames, kitchen towels, master bathroom towels, scale, guest bathroom towels and shower curtain, gift certificates to Target, Potterybarn, and Oh Nails, Pyrex bakeware and prep set, lingerie x3, crystal vase, and Kitchenaid drawer organizers. I can't wait to move into a house and use all of these wonderful things. Thank you friends for a fabulous afternoon!

Surprise Shower at SB Etc

Ok, I thought I knew what was happening at work all of the time, but somehow I missed this one! All of the girls at work and all of my scrapbook friends put together a surprise bridal shower for me on Friday, October 6th. I went over to Joey's that evening after work and we were waiting on Susan and Louise to get to Joey's before we could leave(LeAnne was meeting up with us later). Once everyone was there, Susan told me that we were going to dinner at the Melting Pot. I was so excited because that is one of the GREATEST places on earth. I was told we had to make one quick stop by Scrapbooks, Etc so that Susan could pick up a gift certificate for a birthday party the next morning. I said I would wait in the car as I had already spent 8 hours there prior. Somehow Louise got me in to show her some new product. Joey had then mentioned that Amy (another scrapbook friend) was in the lab doing the late niter. So I went in to say hello and.......SURPRISE everyone was in the lab. It was a great surprise. They showered me with almost my entire set of dishes from Potterybarn, home decor items, kitchen items, jewelry, towels, and so much more. It was a great evening and so much better than the Melting Pot! Thank you to everyone that came. It was fabulous!! I am so glad I get to share my days with you!!!

Freestone Park

On a Sunday afternoon in September, Ben and I met my dad at Freestone Park to take some pictures. I wanted to make my own sign in book for the wedding so we had him take about 3 rolls of film for us and then we picked our 10 favorite pictures to use in the book. They all came out great, but the least serious one of all was our favorite.

2 Months in Review

For the past 2 months I have been consumed in pre-wedding festivities. I have not had a chance to post since my first attempt to this whole blogging idea.
The first pre-wedding activity was a tea luncheon at the Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale. This was something that Elizabeth (Ben's Mom) had wanted to do with my bridesmaids, mom, and I since Ben ask me to marry him. I was looking forward to the afternoon and the wonderful tea and sandwiches that would be served. We had a fabulous time, the food was great(especially the dessert, I think we all had seconds on that course) and it was definitely something I will always remember and treasure. Thanks Elizabeth for the beautiful afternoon!
